We're Losing the Battle...
With the Dirty Clothes. I've been working since Sunday night to get all of our clothes washed, and can't seem to get them done. Usually, I get everything washed on the weekend and everything is nice and fresh for a new week. However, since we went to Gulf Shores this weekend, I didn't get to do that. So, here we are on Tuesday night, and there are still dirty clothes. I only have about two loads left, but by tomorrow I'm sure there will be about three. I've just came into David's "Man Cave" to do our post and found dirty clothes on the floor. No, I can't quite get him to learn the rules!

Home Sweet Home
Friday was David's birthday, so to celebrate we went to visit his family. David's parents live in Elberta. We had lots of fun, and got to see everyone. Well, all but Annie and Stuart. Where were they? David, his mother and I went to the German Sausage Festival. It was lots of fun, and an experience to say the least.
David's parents have also adopted a new kitten. She is a cute. They have named her Repeat. She thinks it is a great idea to climb up the side of the house and onto the roof. David's parents don't seem to think it is such a great idea.
I also need to say a big Thank You to Mom and Harry for watching the "Grand Puppy" for us this weekend. Daisy had a blast. She has done nothing but sleep since she got home. She loves going to visit her grandparents.
Here are a few pictures from this weekend!

Daisy's Four...I think...
I don't have much to talk about tonight...
Today is the day that we adopted Daisy...I can't believe she is four already she sure is getting old!
Also, today is our friend Patrick's Birthday! So HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATRICK!
Birthday week continues tomorrow with David's Birthday. He is going to be old!
Ash, here is the recipe for the Chicken Stew with Dumplings:
Stew
1 lb skinless boneless chicken thighs, trimmed
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 onion, chopped
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
2 cups reduced-sodium chicken broth
1 large Yukon Gold potato, diced
1 cup frozen peas and carrots
Dumplings
3/4 cup all purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup fat-free milk
2 teaspoons melted butter
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
To make the stew, cut the chicken into 1-inch pieces. Spray a nonstick pot with nonstick spray and place over medium high-heat. Add the chicken; sprinkle with the salt and pepper and cook, turning occasionally, until browned, about 6 minutes. Add the onion; cook, stirring frequently, until softened, 4 minutes. Add the flour and cook, stirring constantly, until lightly browned, 1 minute. Stir in the broth and potato; bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer, covered, until the chicken is cooked through and the potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes. Stir in the peas and carrots; return to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer 2 minutes.
Meanwhile, to make the dumplings, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl. Add the milk, butter, and parsley; stir until a soft dough forms.
Drop the dough, by rounded tablespoonfuls, onto the simmering stew, making 8 dumplings. Cover the Dutch oven and simmer about 8 minutes. Uncover and simmer until the dumplings have doubled in size and are cooked through, about 3 minutes longer.
Here's the nutrition info:

Chicken Stew with Dumplings
Well, I did get to cook tonight. Actually, David did help. Okay, he did most of the cooking. We had Chicken Stew with Dumplings. It's the picture above. It doesn't look to pretty, but it was yummy. David did a good job. I found the recipe in my weight watchers cook book and decided to try it. It is eight points per serving. It took a long time to cook, so from now on it will have to be a "week end" meal.
We thought that tonight would be a good night to introduce you to our children. I have a dog and David has a cat.
Here are some pictures of my beautiful baby girl, Daisy.
And here are some pictures of David's crazy cat, Spunky. (Christy Gray please remember that it is Spunky, not Slinky or Stinky. You really should remember your nephew's name.)
Also, David says that I have to post a new picture of his "Man Cave". He says the first picture I posted did not show his computer, and I was fired from picture taking. So, to make amends I have been ordered to post a new picture of the "Man Cave".
Another also, today is our friend Joey's Birthday. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOEY!
Last but not least, today is my big sister's birthday. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHIRSTY.

Cut & Color
Today started out a little hard for David. He had to ride the motorcycle to work today because I had a hair appointment this afternoon. The gas light was on, so he had to hope that he could make it to the gas station. Which he did, but he was 20 minutes late for work. After work I went to get my hair cut. It feels so much better. I didn't get home until after 8:00 o'clock, so we had to eat Taco Bell for dinner. Hopefully, I will actually be able to get home at a decent hour tomorrow and I will be able to cook....we'll see.

Monday, Monday
Today after work, I dropped the car off at Tuscom, and rode with Lori to eat dinner and go to a Pampered Chef party. Lori and I went to the Iguana Grill. It's a new place in here in Tuscaloosa. It was great! I have a new favorite place to eat. Poor David had to stop and get Mickey Dees on his way home. I had lots of fun at the party and got a nice surprise. Melanie that I worked with at PCA was at the party. I haven't seen her in a while. It was great getting to catch up with her. Then, when I got home my wonderful husband had picked up the house for me. He is awesome!
Here are some picture of the Iguana Grill that Lori and I took tonight.
