My poor plant!

A couple of weeks ago when Mom and Harry were here visiting, I bought a blue berry bush, tomato plant, and two bell pepper plants. I've been taking great care of my plants hoping to prove to myself that I can keep plants alive, and then maybe next year I will be able to plant a garden. (I killed an aloe vera plant last year.)

Well when I got home today, I saw my poor bell pepper plant. Something has been eating it. I was so upset. This is what I saw when I got home.

I don't know what happened. I'm just so sad!

However, my tomato plant and blueberry bush are doing great!

Four Eyes

My new glasses came in today. I feel kinda nerdy, but it has been great being able to see! It has been really funny to see what all I have actually been missing in life. Now I don't have to miss anything.

The only problem is that the glasses give me a headache. I've been told that this is normal because you have to adjust to them. We will see...

Here are some pictures that I have been taking with plans of posting, but I'm just now getting around to it!

For some reason, Spunky has decided to start drinking out of Daisy's water bowl. I can think of only two reasons. One, it drives Daisy nuts and she can not stand it. Spunky loves to get under her skin! Two, for some reason, Spunky puts his food in his own water bowl. Then, it becomes nasty and he refuses to use it until you clean it. I wish he would stop putting his food in his bowl.

This is Daisy and her bone! She has had this bone for a couple of years now. She doesn't really chew on it. She likes to tote it around the house and leave it where David will be walking. Then, David yells at her and tells me to throw her bone away. I don't of course because she is my baby and she loves her bone. Anyway, for some reason on this day she started to chew on the bone. I need a picture.

This is a picture of my feet. Yes, they are dirty. I had been out working in my flower beds one day last week in flip-flops. This also gets under David's skin. He can't stand when I am doing yard work in flip-flops. He thinks I am going to cut off my toe with the hoe! Anyway, when I came in and took them off, it still looked like I had them on. I don't know, for some reason it struck me funny. (Now, that I am typing it out, not so much!)

It is Official....I'm Getting Old

Today was a first for me. I had to go to the eye doctor. I have managed to put this off for 27 years, but David finally put his foot down. He was tired of fearing for his life every time he got in the car with me.

I have trouble reading road signs and seeing the guide on the TV. No big deal, but David said I had to go.

I made it through my first eye appointment. It was okay, but I don't ever plan on going back again. I did not like the stuff the put in your eyes. Plus this eye doctor cheated. She put that stuff in my eyes to make every thing blurry. Then, she told me to go pick out my glasses. This office has figured out that with that stuff in your eyes, you can't see the price in micro print on the price tag. Yeah, I didn't like that at all!

So, it is official. I am old. I have been to the eye doctor!

More Yard Work!

On Sunday, David and I had to quit working in the yard because it started to rain. There were still a few things that needed to be done. So, when David and I got home tonight we headed straight to the back yard and got to work.

We added some more bags to the pile. I can't wait until the trash people come tomorrow! Our side walk looks so bad!

When we came in, Spunky jumped up beside me. He missed us all day!

Of course, Daisy could not stand it. She ran Spunky off and jumped up in my lap. She is so jealous of Spunky.

Busy Days!

Mom and Harry came to visit yesterday. Spunky could not wait for them to get here. He just sat at the door and waited for them to show up!

When they finally showed up, we ate a big lunch. Then Harry hung some pictures for us.

Then we headed to Lowes. David stayed at the house and cut the grass for me! At Lowes we picked up a tomato plant, bell pepper plants and a blueberry bush. (This is all we could do this year. Hopefully next year we can plant a garden. I guess the test will be if I can keep these few plants alive this year!)

When we got back we planted my plants and then Mom and Harry headed back to Thomasville. David and I were kind of lazy after they left.

I woke up this morining and picked up the bottom floor of our house and then headed out side to get some work done before it rained. (I know we should have gone to church. We still need to find a church. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks we can find one.) Anyway, we were able to get a lot of yard work done before the rain started. Our back yard is actually starting to look good. David counted and we bagged up 27 bags of leaves, pine straw, and limbs from the back yard!

I think the trash people are going to be mad at me on Wednesday! There is still a lot of work to be done, but I think we are on the down hill side now.

Now since it is raining, David is downstairs watching Bonanza. I know, Bonanza right? I'm upstairs in the bed of course playing on the computer and watching Jon and Kate Plus 8. I've been watching this show a lot lately. I just read Multiple Blessings that Kate wrote and I loved it, so I've started watching the show. David hates it. He calls the show "Screaming Kids".

Rise and Shine!

Today is the first day in about 2 months that I did not have to wake up by an alarm clock. It was so wonderful. Mom and Harry are coming up to visit today. I can't wait to see them. I never get to spend enough time with my Mommy!

I think it is going to rain today which upsets me. I planned on getting some yard work done today like cutting grass, working in the back yard, and planting some tomato plants. I doubt that we will be able to get any of this done this weekend, but we will see!

My Birthday!

Yesterday was my birthday! I'm now 27. It was a great day. I took the day off of work so that I could be lazy and watch TV all day. I actually ended up cleaning my house. I just love having a clean house!

Happy Easter!

So, Friday morning I got up and was a bit cranky and rushed until I arrived at work. That is when I discovered that Vickie had hidden Easter Eggs on everyone's desks. I even found the "golden egg" and won a huge chocolate bunny. It made my day great! I am so glad Vickie did this for everyone.

Friday I worked through lunch so that I could leave work at 4 o'clock. When I left work, I ran home, finished packing, loaded the dog in the car and headed back to Tuscom. I was at David's work at 5. I could not believe I had done all of this so fast!

David and I headed to Gulf Shores to see his family. We stopped in Thomasville to leave Daisy with "Granny and Grandaddy". Daisy loves to stay with Mom and Harry. They spoil her so much. I love being able to leave Daisy with them because they really do love her!

We got to David's parents house a little before 10. We really made good time!

Saturday, Daniela, Heidi and I dyed eggs. It was so much fun. I think I enjoyed it the most. Since I don't have kids I don't get to do this kind of stuff!

Daniela, Heidi, and I then went to what they call the mall to go shopping. (In my family, we call the mall the "outlets".) Then David and Wayde met us at the Mellow Mushroom for lunch.

When we got back to David's parents, David changed the breaklight in the car. He is such an handy person. I love him!

Then while Heidi was napping, we all stole her eggs and hunted them. It was so much fun, but it took Daniela and I a whole hour to find 12 eggs. David and Wayde hid them. (Never again!)

Sunday, David and I got up and went to church with his parents. We love getting to go to his church when we can. Pastor Frank is a great and we love getting to hear him preach. Wayed and Daniela were also in a play that morning, so we got to see them. They did a great job. Daniela played a great old woman!

We left after church, and stopped by Dad's and had lunch with Dad and Tami. Tyler and Cousin Seth even stopped in to see us before they went to fish.

Then we picked Daisy up from Mom's. Daisy said she had lots of fun, but as always, she was ready to head home with us!

Here are some pictures from this weekend!

New Furniture

So, David and I have new furniture thanks to Dad, Tami and Tyler. If it were not for Tyler, we would have never gotten the furniture in the house. It was so heavy.

Here are some pictures:

This is Daisy beside the new bed. Yes, the bed is tall. I have to run and jump to get in. Daisy is no longer allowed in the bed. I'm so sad.

So, while we were in Thomasville last Friday, Dad and Tami had a birthday party for me. Here is the cake they got for me. I forgot to take a picture before we ate it!
