One day down, two more to go...

This past weekend flew by in a hurry. I meant to get a couple more posts in but never did, so tonight's going to be a long post. We jammed a lot into this past weekend.

I got to leave early from work on Friday. Don't be jealous, I had animals that needed to go to their yearly check up. If you are thinking about getting a pet, don't. I spent over two hundred dollars getting shots for Daisy and Spunky. It is crazy what it cost to get a couple of shots these days. All in all, the vet trip went great. Daisy and Spunky stayed in the car (windows down) until the vet was ready for them. I've learned that it is best not to have Daisy in the vets office with the other animals. She gets a little too excited.

Saturday, David and I were up by six. Then it was off to weight watchers (down point six), and back to clean the house. Which thankfully David helped and it didn't take to long. Not to long after my mommy showed up to help put up the Christmas tree. (I know, it is not supposed to go up until after Thanksgiving, but we'll be out of town the weekend after. Naturally, the tree must go up before because if you wait any longer, you'll just be taking it right back down. Right?) Mom was a big help, and the tree went up with out a problem. Mom then took some pictures for us for our Christmas cards, and Daisy napped the whole time. Tree and dog below.

Saturday night, I had to rush to meet Lori, Kelly and Angela for dinner at Outback. It was okay. Then, Lori, Angela, and I went to the movies to see Twilight. Angela got sick and had to leave, but it was okay because she had already seen it twice. (The movie came out on Friday morning at 12 a.m.) Twilight was really good. It wasn't as good as the book, but what movies ever are as good as the book.

Sunday morning, David and I caught up on our Netflix, and that afternoon we decided that it would be a great time to scrape the popcorn off the ceiling in our bedroom. We were totally not prepared, but it was our first "home improvement" project. The ceiling looks 100% better and now we just need to repaint it. And, now we know that the next time we "scrape" ceilings, we will need goggles and face masks. David and popcorn on the floor below.

Today, was just as quick. David had a dentist appointment first thing. He had a good check up! We both worked hard today! We had to stop on the way home for dog food because someone let Daisy run completely out of food. I'm not naming any names but David always fills up her dog food bowl for me.

Also, please pray for David. He's getting a cold and he keeps forgetting to take his medicine that I pack for him. I want him to get well quick so that he can enjoy our Thanksgiving with our families.

So now, Monday is over and we only have to work for two more days this week!

Welcome Andrew Oaklee!

I just wanted to give a quick congratulations to my good friend Betsy and her husband Pete. Andrew Oaklee decided it was time to make his grand entrance into the world. I haven't gotten a chance to talk with Betsy yet, but I did receive a text saying that Andrew Oaklee was born last night at 11:27p.m. He was 8 pounds 6 ounces and 20 inches long. Both mom and baby are doing well.

So, Congratulations Betsy and Pete!

Dentist

So, I had a dentist appointment first thing this morning. I love going to the dentist. I would go once a month if insurance would cover it.
I rushed and dropped David off at his work a little early. Which means that I showed up to my dentist office at 8:00 even though my appointment was not until 8:30. For some reason I was thinking like Grannie, which means that you show up early because you may get in early. Then, I would get to work earlier. Well, it didn't work today. I did not get called back until 9:00. So, you can image that I was a little peeved by this time.
Well, the hygienist really made up for it. I have been going to this dentist for two years and never had this type of treatment. She asked if I wanted my rings cleaned while she cleans my teeth. So, of course I say "yeah". So, she puts my rings in the solution to clean. Then, she grabs my hands and puts oil on them and tells me to rub them together. (Yes, I am still at the dentist office.) She then puts plastic baggies on my hands and puts them into some sort of hand warmer. It really felt good. Then, she leans me back, turns on the massaging chair, and cleans my teeth. I really was loving it. I got all of this spa treatment, my rings cleaned, and my teeth cleaned too boot. It really was an odd appointment, but I can not wait to go back.
Oh, yes the most important, NO CAVITIES.

Off to Tallassee

David and I had an awesome weekend. We got up early on Saturday morning to go to Tallassee, AL. We stayed at my Aunt RoRo's. It was my mom's birthday on November 15th. I think she had a great one because she got to watch Aubrey and Jamie while Christy and Steve went to the Auburn game.

We got to see everyone and even got to hear my uncle preach today. It has been a long time since we all got together and it was lots of fun. I can't wait until we get to do it again. Here are some pictures from this weekend.

Jamie apparently loves suckers.

He gets all excited.

Isn't he a cutie?

This is Aubrey and Dalton. Aren't they cute!

Also, today is David's grandmother's birthday. Let's all wish her a happy birthday and many, many more.

$1.98 a gallon

Yes, that's right, we filled our gas tank up tonight. At a $1.98 a gallon, were able to fill the Mariner up for $26.50. It was costing us somewhere around $55.00 every time we filled up. I hope that gas prices continue to drop, but I have a feeling that they will go back up again soon.

About us!

Ashely, http://teammichaelbryant.blogspot.com/, has tagged me to share ten things with all of you that I'm not afraid to admit so here goes.
The rules are:
1) Link to the person who tagged you.
2) Post the rules on your blog
3) Write 10 random things about yourself (see below).
4) Tag 6 people at the end of your post and link to them.
5) Let each person know they have been tagged and leavea comment on their blog.
6) Let the tagger know when your entry has been posted

1. I love my husband! He is the greatest. He puts up with all of my craziness (and yes there is lots.)
2. I love my job. I actually like going to work. It is nice to have a job that challenges you on a daily basis.
3. My favorite color is green. Even though Christy always told me that it is the ugliest color, I still love it. It symbolizes so many things like a new beginning, freshness, and crispness. It really is the best color.
4.I got my dog from a rodeo. The vet in Livingston took a litter of puppies to the rodeo to unload on unsuspecting victims. It was love at first sight. Daisy had to go live with David since I was living in the dorm at the time. She chewed up the carpet, puked green goo every where, chewed through the cords to the TV and DVD player, and chewed up the underside of David's mattresses. She was just a puppy!
5. David stole his cat. Spunky was actually Joey's (David's roommate) ex-girlfriend's cat. David and Spunky clicked and now I have a cat.
6. David was in the army for eight years. He lived in Korea, Colorado, Texas, California, and was also stationed in Alabama. He got out of the army after his motorcycle wreck.
7. I love to sleep. I could actually sleep for a week straight. (Seriously) If it were not for having a job I would sleep all day long. I don't know what is wrong with me!
8. David loves peanut butter M&M's. It is required that we always have some on hand. He has an M&M jar that he eats them from. I tend to steal...quite often....
9.David and I both hate shopping at Wal-Mart. It takes way to long, and we are always in a bad mood when we come out. So, we avoid it at all costs.
10. I freeze David out at night. I think that a room should always be cold when you are sleeping. There is nothing worse than waking up all sweaty. Last night was so bad that he slept in a hoodie and running pants. David says I become an oven in the middle of the night and you can not touch me. So, for me not to wake up sweating the room has to be pretty cold. The picture above was one I took of him this morning all snuggled up in the bed.

Okay, so I'm not sending any one the link because the bloggers I know have already been tagged. And I did this on me and David since it is our blog.

Great Weekend!

David and I had a great weekend. I went to Prattville Friday night to visit some friends. David was not to happy about my trip. It was my first trip without him since we got married in August of 2007. He was so cute though he showed me where the flash light was in the car in case I needed it and he kept calling to check on me. He even cleaned up the house while I was gone. He is the greatest!

My trip was lots of fun! I went to stay with Tara and Kristi. (Two of my sorority sisters.) They had a pampered chef party on Friday night. (I know, I am going to be "Pampered Chefed Out" soon.) Then we went shopping on Saturday. They also took me to down town Prattville. The pictures below are from down town Prattville.

David and I have been bums today. He cleaned yesterday so that I could be a bum with him today. We did get caught up on our Netfilx. FINALLY!

Hamburger Helper and Corn

Tonight's dinner was hamburger helper and corn. Since David is the master hamburger helper cooker he cooked it while I took care of the corn. I know I had a really hard job. Take the corn out of the fridge and put it in a pot. David didn't seem to mind. He really does make good hamburger helper. Here are some pictures I took tonight.

Daisy and her toys.

Doesn't Daisy look scary in this picture?

I couldn't leave out Spunky. He is trying to figure out how to open the garage door.

It's Wednesday

Thank goodness we are half way through the week. This week has been a long one so far. I'm so behind at work that it is not even funny. I keep thinking that I should stay late, but I like being able to come home in time for David and I to cook dinner together. We usually cook together when we have time to cook, and it has become one of my favorite things we do together.

Here is a picture of what I found when I got home tonight. I've really got to remember to shut the bathroom door, but I'm sure even if I did Spunky would still find a way to get to my rubber bands.

Kitty: Impossible

David's cat is impossible. This is what I come home to on most days:

All the hair bows and rubber bands that you see are supposed to be in the pink and white make-up bag. Most days while we are at work, the cat will open the drawer, unzip the bag with the hair bows and rubber bands, and play all day with my rubber bands. It is driving me nuts. Not only does he open drawers, he can also open the doors in our house. He opened our bed room door five times last night. Five times I woke up with this cat staring me in the face, and five times I threw him out and shut the door in his face. He just won't stop.

Here is a little clip of him trying to unzip my bag:

Whew...

Sorry we haven't posted much this week. We have been crazy busy lately. We haven't really had much free time. I'm stressing out because our DVR is getting full and we have had the same netflix movies for a month that we haven't had time to watch. For some reason that really stresses me out. Anyway, Friday night David's work took us on the Bama Belle boat ride. It was a lot of fun for both of us. Then, David's brother showed up about 3 o'clock Saturday morining, and I was up four hours later. I had to go weigh and then Daniella, Heidi, and I went Christmas shopping. It was a lot of fun having them here over the weekend.

This afternoon I had to go to a baby shower in Livingston for Betsy Eaves. She didn't end up showing up because she had to go to the hospital. She had started having contractions. They had to give her medicine to stop the contractions twice. She was still at the hospital when I talked to her, but she was hoping that they would discharge her soon. She says that the doctors want her to make it two more weeks. So, everyone please pray for her and Andrew Oaklee!
