Girls Night...
Friday night was Girls Night. We have not had one of these since February and it was well deserved. We went to a place called Sips-n-Strokes. You go to this place and an instructor teaches you to paint a picture. It just opened in Tuscaloosa, but there are some in Birmingham and Auburn. It was so much fun. I can not wait to go back. Here are some pictures:
This is the picture that I painted.
Date Night...
Tonight David and I went on a "Date". We went to see Star Trek. Yes, I am married to a "Trekie". The movie was really good though, so everyone should see it!
After the movie, we went to dinner. We wanted to go somewhere we have never been before. I keep hearing everyone talk about Melagros. So, David and I went to Melagros. It was really good. We loved it, maybe next time we should not wear blue jeans though!
Miracle Boy...
David's brother is doing much better. He has been out of the hospital since Tuesday. He is still having to take I.V. antibiotics daily. His doctor told him that he had one of the worst staff infections that he had ever seen, and he doesn't know how he was able to heal so quickly and get out of the hospital in under a week. Well, I think it is because God is awesome!

Wayde
David and I rushed down to Gulf Shores this weekend. His brother, Wayde, has been in the hospital since Thursday. He has the MRSA staff infection, so everyone please pray for him.
He is doing better and should hopefully should be able to go home tomorrow.
We'll keep you posted.

That's Not Bug Bites......
So, on our way home from work today, I tell David "Look at these bug bites, they have blisters on them." David responds "Hummm...That's not bug bites. I think you have poison oak." To which I promptly tell him that I have never had poison anything so there for am not allergic to that stuff, to which David informed me "Yes, you are..."
Well, he won that debate, so we stopped in to Publix on the way home from work and I bought my first ever bottle of Calamine Lotion.

A new week!
David and I left early Saturday to go stay with Mom for Mother's Day.
Saturday night Mom, Harry, David and I went to Thomaston to eat dinner. After dinner, we all went to a play. The play was awesome and out doors.
Here's a picture of me and David at the play:
Sunday morning, we all got up and went to the Delmar in Thomasville for breakfast. They were out of bacon and grits. They also only had 6 biscuits left. Only in Thomasville. The Delmar also had something new that I had never seen before:
Instead of having regular little packets of jelly, they put the jelly in these cups. It was strange to me.
After breakfast with Mom, we went and had lunch with Dad and Tami at the Grill.
Yes, we managed to eat at the Grill and the Delmar all in one day. Amazing huh.
Then, we went to visit Grannie at the nursing home. She was doing great!
Next we went to Grannie's house and dug up plants. This got me in trouble with David. Appearently, I dug up too many.
We drove home and started to plant everything! It was dark and we were still planting things.
I'm not quite sure the plants will make it, but we shall see. My flower bed looks kind of like I planted corn. I think my neighbors were outside making fun of us tonight!
I hope everything lives!

Headed Home!
I'm up bright and early this morning. I haven't yet convinced David to get up, but hopefully he will soon. We are headed to Thomasville this weekend. We are going to go to a dinner theater with Mom tonight.
I can't wait!

Us Too!
I guess since Leigh Ann and Jamie have told their secret, we get to tell ours too! (I think we really have been telling people though, so it is not really a secret.) WE ARE GOING TO GO TO DISNEY TOO! David and I have been so excited and we can not wait. We are going to be gone September 6th-12th.
I have everything down I hope! I have my calender dated for when it is time to make dinner reservations and all of that stuff. Hopefully we can make reservations for Chef Mickey! David's not so sure about the Chef Mickey, but I think we need to go!

ASA Weekend!
Saturday night David and I drove to Livingston to have dinner at Diamond Jims. It was a little get together with my sorority. I haven't seen a lot of the girls in a long time, so it was lots of fun! Here are some pictures.
After dinner, David and I headed to Thomasville. We spent the night with Dad so that I could go get some plants out of Grannie's yard. It ended up raining all day on Sunday, so I was not able to get any plants. Maybe next weekend.
Dad and Tami made fried chicken for us it was yummie!
This is Dad's cat Shine. He likes to sleep on the garage door.
This is our cat spunky. He seems to like to sleep in the sink!
Why are cats so strange?
